| Russian Balalaika player Sasha Ressetar, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania was born in 1963 in San Antonio, Texas at Lackland Air Force Base. At three years of age he stated to listen to old Russian balalaika records. His father was serving as a Russian Orthodox priest at that time. He had a collection of Russian choral and instrumental music which included the Serge Jaroff Male Choir and Sasha Polinoff's orchestra. | Ukrainian born Sergey Vashchenko - Balalaika virtuoso from Austin, Texas - began his musical training as a child on the bayan and balalaika. He was chosen to study at several prominent musical schools in his native country, and received several awards in musical competitions. He earned a Master’s Degree in Music from the Ural Conservatory in 1985, in performance and conducting, and then served as Musical Instructor and Dean for Balalaika at the Perm Cultural Institute for Arts. |

| Russian folk dancer and singer Valentina Kvasova, New York, USA was born in Russia, in the city of Rostov-na-Donu, on August 25, 1976. After finishing of the formal education in Voronezh Choreographic School in 1994 she has been invited to The Don Cossacks State Academic Song and Dance Ensemble as the actress of ballet.
